In the palliative care unit at the Helios Vogtland Clinic Plauen, people with incurable diseases and a limited life expectancy of a few weeks or months are treated. These include primarily tumor diseases and neurological diseases, but also chronic diseases of the cardiovascular system and the respiratory organs.

The ward has 8 beds. These are exclusively single-bed rooms that are very homely and, according to the special situation of the patients, specially furnished. In addition, relatives can also be accommodated temporarily if desired.

In addition, a palliative medical consultation service will be set up to ensure the co-care of terminally ill patients throughout the hospital.
