The practical training takes place at the Helios Specialist Clinic Vogelsang-Gommern, the theoretical training takes place at the Christian Academy in Halle.

What to expect

The training to become a surgical assistant (m/f/d) enables you to take on a wide range of tasks in the surgical service and in the functional areas such as outpatient clinic/emergency admission, endoscopy, central sterilization and anesthesia
The training is intended to impart the technical, personal, social and methodological skills required to fulfil these tasks
The tasks of a surgical assistant (m/f/d) include instrumentation and assistance in the operating room, endoscopy and outpatient clinics
They are also responsible for preparing and positioning the patients as well as washing and caring for the instruments and technical equipment

What you bring to the table

Secondary school leaving certificate or equivalent school education (minimum age 17 years)
Extended certificate of good conduct
Medical certificate of health suitability
Proof of valid vaccination status hepatitis A and B, measles protection
You can cope with the special challenge that working in a surgical center poses to you and manage to keep track of things even in hectic moments
You should have an open mind, the ability to work in a team and the willingness to actively shape processes and implement our common goals
