Trainee as Anaesthesia Technical Assistant (m/f/d)

What to expect

The future ATAs (m/f/d) should become familiar with the diverse tasks in the anaesthesia service through the training and acquire the special knowledge, skills and behaviour required to fulfil these tasks
The theoretical training (approx. 1,900 hours) takes place in a block system at an ATA school, the Academy of District Clinics Reutlingen. You will then apply what you have learned in a targeted manner in your wide-ranging practical assignments. The practical training (approx. 3,300 hours) is taught in a rotation procedure at the Helios Clinic Pforzheim. You will work with state-of-the-art medical equipment and can look forward to a friendly and helpful team
As an ATA, you will be involved in the preparation, accompaniment and aftercare of anesthesia and will assist our patients on their way to the recovery room
You will learn the correct reprocessing and disposal of anesthesia materials
You will learn the professional and appropriate handling of medical devices and materials

What you bring to the table

For a successful start to the training as an anesthesia technical assistant (m/f/d), it is best to have a completed secondary school diploma or the Abitur with you
Alternatively, we also recognise a lower secondary school leaving certificate in conjunction with completed vocational training
In addition, we require a nursing internship of at least two weeks in an acute care hospital. Initial insights into anesthesia are desirable
