Volunteer work in patient care (m/f/d)

Do something for and with people?

We are looking for you to volunteer for our patients at the Leipzig Heart Center as soon as possible.

If you wish, you can work on day duty as a companion for our patients or on the ward / night shift in the night café.

• You will have one-on-one conversations with patients about wishes and concerns
• You accompany patients on walks or you do small shopping
• They play, do handicrafts, read with the patients or are simply there for them
• You can perform cognition and movement exercises with the patients

• They are empathetic and can listen
• You are interested in volunteering
• You have communication skills and a willingness to exchange ideas
• Legally required proof of immunization against measles

• Induction training (basic medical knowledge with on-site training)
• Annual further training for employees: hygiene, resuscitation, refresher of voluntary knowledge regarding clinical pictures, socio-legal background (=Helios volunteer training)
• Reimbursement of travel expenses / expense allowance by individual arrangement
• Participation in summer party, Christmas party, station parties
• 2-3x annual supervision appointments and exchange of experience by experts on site
