To strengthen our clinic for intensive care, emergency, pain and palliative medicine, we are looking for an experienced senior physician (m/f/d) for internal medicine with intensive care expertise.

Modern intensive care medicine – structured, interdisciplinary and plannable

In our Clinic for Intensive Care, Emergency, Pain and Palliative Medicine at the Helios Clinic Leezen, modern intensive care medicine in a neurorehabilitation setting awaits you.

You will work in a predictable, predominantly elective environment without a classic shift system – with a very good work-life balance.

At the same time, we offer you the opportunity to acquire additional training in intensive care medicine and palliative medicine.

Our intensive care concept is based on interdisciplinary co-leadership from neurology, internal medicine and anaesthesia.

As a teaching hospital of MSH Medical School Hamburg, you can also actively participate in student training.

What to expect

Head: You will take on senior physician responsibility for intensive medical care in the specialized weaning center and actively shape the processes.
Weaning: You will control and further develop prolonged weaning processes in chronically critically ill patients.
Multi-organ management: You will treat complex internal multi-organ diseases in a neurorehabilitative context holistically and at a high intensive care level.
Complications: They manage differentiated internal complications in the case of multi-organ involvement.
Interface neurology: They take over the internal medicine treatment of neurologically associated complications.
Work structure: You will work together in an interdisciplinary manner in the senior medical team and benefit from predictable on-call services without a classic shift system.

What you bring to the table

You are a specialist (m/f/d) in internal medicine; the additional qualification in intensive care medicine is available or can be actively promoted and acquired with us.
You have in-depth experience in the management of complex internal diseases, especially in critically ill patients.
You have a broad understanding of internal medicine and an interest in the care of complex, interdisciplinary courses of disease.
You enjoy interdisciplinary cooperation and contribute leadership skills to a multi-professional team.
You are interested in the further development of medical processes and structures.
You will work in a structured, independent and quality-oriented manner.
