Dynamic Orthopaedics and Endoprosthetics Centre team of the Musculoskeletal Centre Helios Thüringen Mitte at the Helios site in Gotha is looking for an assistant doctor for orthopaedics/trauma surgery (m/f/d) in advanced training or a young specialist in orthopaedics and trauma surgery who would like to drive innovation in orthopaedics at eye level.

What to expect

Successive further training in endoprosthetics, if suitable up to the position of endoprosthesis main surgeon (EndoCert) Learning the anterior hip access (AMIS/DAA) is standard of training Furthermore, in addition to conservative orthopaedic treatment approaches, they also learn the standards of minimally invasive arthroscopic joint surgery on the knee and shoulder joints with us without any problems As an innovation in the Musculoskeletal Centre, robot-assisted knee endoprosthetics (MAKO Smart Robotics) is being developed at the Helios Clinic Blankenhain (robot location) offered for cross-site use in the cluster Together with the Clinic for Trauma Surgery (regional Trauma Center DGU) under the direction of Chief Physician A. Gräfenstein and the Clinic for Spinal Surgery under the direction of Chief Physician Dr. J. Hasselbach, we offer you the full therapeutic spectrum including the full authorization for further training as a specialist in orthopedics and trauma surgery (48 months) in addition to the common trunk There is also the possibility of obtaining additional training in "Special Trauma Surgery". The additional training course "Special Orthopaedic Surgery" has been applied for• The specialist department of orthopaedics is supervised by our chief physician Dr. med. Sebastian Bergmann in the collegial system with the chief physician and medical director of the Musculoskeletal Center, Professor Dr. med. Thomas Mückley.

What you bring to the table

Licence to practise medicine as well as interest in the treatment of injuries and diseases of the musculoskeletal system in the sense of the complex training FA for orthopaedics and trauma surgery You are already in advanced training and are striving to become a specialist in orthopaedics and trauma surgery, or have only recently become a specialist and have solid previous experience in orthopaedics and trauma surgery You enjoy constantly expanding your knowledge and have manual dexterity and an interest in the surgical subject You are a team player and have a high level of commitment to achieving your further training goal Willingness to participate in the joint service system of orthopaedics, trauma surgery and spinal surgery: Foreground house services
