What you can expect

The training as an anesthesia technical assistant lasts 3 years and enables you to take on a variety of tasks before, during and after anesthesiological measures
The training is intended to impart the professional, personal, social and methodological skills required to fulfill these tasks
As an important part of the anesthesia team, you will support the anesthetist in the operating room after completing your training and be independently responsible for the preparation and aftercare of anesthesia
Daily tasks include, for example, preparing patients for the procedure, providing and caring for the necessary instruments and medical devices as well as caring for and monitoring patients
Theoretical training takes place at Magdeburg University Hospital (no tuition fees) - experienced teachers are available to you throughout your training and offer hands-on training with numerous practical learning phases
The practical training takes place at the Helios Clinic Jerichower Land and our cooperating training centers - here you will be accompanied by experienced practical instructors in direct patient care

What you bring with you

A secondary school leaving certificate or equivalent training or
Another completed ten-year school education that supplements the lower secondary school leaving certificate or
Vocational training of at least two years' duration completed after completing secondary general school or an equivalent qualification
