We are looking for you for a dual study program in midwifery science starting October 01, 2026.

What you can expect

The new degree program combines vocational training with university studies
Students will receive a professional and interdisciplinary qualification that will enable them to support mothers and their partners by providing support, encouragement, advice and guidance
The interdisciplinary structure takes into account both the core competencies of midwifery as well as a variety of preventative and health-promoting topics
Midwifery science and health science findings are part of the training program
An instructive cooperation with the University of Rostock or the University of Lübeck

What you bring with you

Health aptitude
General higher education entrance qualification (Abitur) or subject-specific higher education entrance qualification (subject-specific Abitur)
Prospective students without an Abitur have the opportunity to take an entrance exam, please enclose the passed exam with your application
An internship of at least four weeks in a relevant field of activity of a midwife (e.g. delivery room, maternity ward, freelance midwife), the internship can be completed in one go or in sections, but 4 x 38.5 hours must be proven
Legally required proof of immunization against measles
