Technical Specialist/Senior Developer – Salesforce - Tender Management (m/f/d)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Salesforce Technical Architect / Senior Developer to lead the implementation, customization, and integration of a Tender Management solution along with pricing strategy and contract life cycle management in Salesforce. Your key responsibiliteis:

  • Solution Architecture: Define and design scalable Salesforce architecture solutions supporting Tender Management, Pricing, and related business functions ensuring scalability, performance, and security. Translate complex business requirements into technical designs and integration patterns.
  • Development & Customization: Configure, customize, and develop on Salesforce (Apex, Lightning, integrations) to enhance Tender Management functionality.
  • Integration Management: Define and implement integrations between the Tender Management tool and other enterprise systems (ERP, pricing, analytics).
  • Vendor Management: make sure the solution vendor and/or any other system integrator is properly evaluated, challenged and guided in order to efficiently achieve the best possible system performance.
  • Support Salesforce Deployment process especially dealing with managed packages. The knowledge of Copado, Github or other gearset tools is a plus.
  • Manage operations related to the administration of the system, such as Sandbox management, evaluation of change requests, maintenance activities.
  • Ensure vendors, system integrators and business teams are aligned on key decisions related to system development
  • Ensure any specifications/development is properly documented in a clear way for both business and technical audiences.
  • Master Data Management know how especially on integration with ERP and CRM data sources would be an advantage.

Your skills and experiences:

  • Proven multi-annual track record as a Salesforce Technical Architect/Specialist or Senior Developer.
  • Hands-on experience implementing or managing Tender Management systems based on Salesforce, such as Model N, CubeRM or Vamstar.
  • Deep understanding of Sales Cloud, Salesforce architecture, and declarative vs. programmatic solutions.
  • Strong experience in Apex, Lightning Web Components, API integrations, and data management.
  • Proven track record of working on multiple large-scale, complex Salesforce projects, in a global context.
  • Proficient in Salesforce security configurations, including flows, role hierarchies, sharing rules, profiles, and permission sets to ensure data integrity and access control.
  • Skilled in writing and executing test cases and test scripts, with hands-on experience in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect tracking, and managing end-to-end test workflows.
  • Assess and design solutions by evaluating standard Salesforce functionalities against the need for custom development.
  • Background in the pharmaceutical or a related healthcare/regulated industry is a significant advantage.
  • Relevant Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Certified Administrator, Technical/System Architect, Salesforce Platform Developer) are valued.
