To strengthen our clinic for intensive care, emergency, pain and palliative medicine, we are looking for an experienced specialist (m/f/d) in anesthesiology with a focus on intensive care medicine.

Modern intensive care medicine – plannable, with structure instead of constant alarm.

In our Clinic for Intensive Care, Emergency, Pain and Palliative Medicine at the Helios Clinic Leezen, modern intensive care medicine in a neurorehabilitation setting awaits you.

You will work in a predictable, predominantly elective environment without a classic shift system – with a very good work-life balance.

At the same time, we offer you the opportunity to acquire additional training in intensive care medicine and palliative medicine.

Our intensive care concept is based on interdisciplinary co-leadership from neurology, internal medicine and anaesthesia.

As a teaching hospital of MSH Medical School Hamburg, you can also actively participate in student training.

What to expect

Ventilation: You will assume senior physician responsibility for complex ventilation strategies (invasive/NIV), including the management of difficult airways.
Procedures: You will perform invasive intensive care procedures and supervise your team on CVC systems, arterial access, bronchoscopies, dilation tracheotomies and chest drains.
Sedation: You will be responsible for differentiated analgosedation and establish structured delirium management in an interdisciplinary setting.
Monitoring: You will control modern hemodynamic and cardiotechnical monitoring at a high level, including for patients with LVAD.
Clinical pictures: They care for complex postoperative intensive care patients with challenging courses and multi-organ involvement.
Guided tour: You will take an active role in the interdisciplinary management of the senior medical team together with internal medicine and neurology.

What you bring to the table

You are a specialist (m/f/d) in anaesthesiology and have in-depth experience in intensive care medicine, especially in ventilation, acute intensive care medicine and in the management of complex clinical pictures. The additional qualification in intensive care medicine is actively promoted and can be acquired or completed with us.
You have a high level of confidence in invasive procedures and enjoy passing this on in the team and guiding colleagues.
You have initial management experience as a senior physician or experienced specialist (m/f/d) and are characterized by a strong team orientation.
You are interested in the further development of intensive care structures in terms of content and strategy and are actively involved in change processes.
You convince with commitment, empathy and clear and appreciative communication in an interdisciplinary team.
You work in a structured, independent and quality-oriented manner and maintain an overview even in complex situations.
